THE BENEFITS OF INTERACTION
WITH DOGS
FOR CHILDREN
Emotional development: Interacting with dogs can help children develop empathy and compassion.
Reduces stress and anxiety: Studies show that spending time with pets can reduce stress and anxiety levels in children. Petting a dog can release oxytocin, a hormone that promotes feelings of happiness and relaxation.
Emotional support : Dogs can provide important emotional support , especially for children going through difficult times. The presence of a dog can provide comfort and a sense of security.
FOR ADULTS
Stress reduction: Interacting with dogs can reduce levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, and increase levels of oxytocin, the hormone associated with feelings of happiness and emotional bonding.
Relaxation and emotional stability: Playing with and hugging dogs can induce a state of relaxation and contribute to emotional stability .
